Swissport has renewed its agreement with Lufthansa Cargo at Brussels and Liège airports until the end of 2024.
The agreement includes warehousing and cargo ramp transport of mail, pharmaceuticals, valuables and general cargo for Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines.
“We are pleased to anchor the cargo handling business for Lufthansa Cargo at Brussels Airport and look forward to further growing our cooperation across our global network.” commented Rudolf Steiner, senior vice president cargo, Europe, Middle East and Africa at Swissport.
For Swissport, the renewed agreement yields a substantial increase in tonnage handled at its cargo facility at Brussels airport, where it is currently completing a major expansion. Lufthansa’s renewed vote of confidence is based on a thorough selection process and the successful cooperation between Swissport and Lufthansa Cargo to date. Both partners endeavour to further jointly drive digitization to realize cost and process improvement.
