Aqaba Container Terminal (ACT) achieved 89225 TEU in August, which is considered the highest total throughput handled in the last five years and marks a 20% increase in total throughput for the same period last year which was 7407 TEU.
The terminal has seen productivity up 6% this year, with a total throughput of 560,540 TEU, compared to 527,174 TEU in 2019. A total of 210,667 trucks have been gated out, compared to 202,647 last year.

We aim to ensure ACT maintains its status as the pivotal gateway to Jordan and beyond while serving our national economy with the utmost dedication to international standards.”
In line with its dedication to continually develop the Terminal, and as part of its strategic investment plan to replace outdated or overused equipment with more advanced machinery, the Terminal announced its purchase of new two reach stakers and two empty handlers, which were made by one of the world’s most reputable port equipment manufacturers, according to customized specifications for the terminal.
